About the Australian Centre for Financial Studies (ACFS)
This year, for the first time, the Australian Centre for Financial Studies (ACFS) proudly hosted this prestigious event in the financial services calendar.
The ACFS is a consortium partnership linking government, industry and academia. It was launched in 2005 as the Melbourne Centre for Financial Studies (MCFS) with seed funding from the Victorian Government.
Consortium members are Melbourne, Monash and RMIT Universities and Finsia. Across the universities, ACFS has access to over 100 finance academics and over 200 postgraduate students engaged in finance research.
ACFS’s pivotal role is its research activities through research grants, academic papers for conferences and publication, research reference groups and in-house contracted consulting research.
The ACFS builds links between academics, practitioners and government to enhance finance research, practice and education, and the reputation of Australia’s financial institutions and universities. In turn, emphasising Australia as a finance centre, facilitating knowledge creation, knowledge transfer and thought leadership within the financial sector.
