Investment Stewardship Award
The annual Investment Stewardship Award recognises long term responsible investment achievement and is proudly sponsored by the Victorian Funds Management Corporation (VFMC).
The independent Judging Panel will assess applicants (under strict confidentiality) against the following criteria:
- investment performance;
- governance;
- risk management;
- investment philosophy;
- integration of ESG factors; and
- service quality.
Announcement
The VFMC Investment Stewardship Award recipients will be announced at the annual Melbourne Financial Services Syposium Gala Dinner on Thursday 1st March 2012, at the Park Hyatt Melbourne.
Award Categories
Applications are invited for the TWO categories of the VFMC Investment Stewardship Award:
Eligibility
Eligible applicants will be private sector investment managers (including industry and complying superannuation funds) with an FS licence and a minimum total of $1bn funds under management. Applicants must nominate a flagship product that demonstrates a performance track record of no less than 3 years, preferably 5 years.
2012 MFSS sponsors are ineligible to apply.
Process
Application forms can be downloaded online and must be submitted to the Investment Stewardship Award Co-ordinator by the nominated closing date.
The Judging Panel will assess all application and invite short listed applicants to make a formal presentation to the panel members.
All applicants will be provided feedback from a Judging Panel member.

Terms and Conditions
- The independent Judging Panel’s decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- The Judging Panel reserves the right to validate all Award applications and disqualify any entrant that in its opinion is not eligible or otherwise fails to meet criteria in accordance with the Terms and Conditions.
- Award category applicants will be evaluated on the Investment Stewardship Award applications.
- All application material will be confidential to the Judging Panel.
- The Judging Panel and the 2011 Melbourne Financial Services Symposium will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered or sustained in connection with the Award except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
